I Want Media

This week is internet week in NYC and I"ll be working at one of the events, the I Want Media Forum, on blogging.

The event is significant for me as it is being held by my former professor, Patrick Phillips, who taught me the "rules" of blogging:

short
strong point of view
& topical (I couldn't think of an "s" word for that)

I think I've gone off the boat on the topic aspect, as I've never been able to narrow down my blogging thoughts to just one niche area, but he definitely inspired me to blog and pursue alternative forms of journalism.

If you're free today come check out some blogging heavyweights, like Erick Shonfield from Tech-Crunch, as well as traditional journalists from the NYT & Vanity Fair.
